UN Chief raised serious concerns over human rights violations by India in Occupied Kashmir

WASHINGTON – United Nations Chief raised serious concerns over humanrights violations by India in Occupied Kashmir.

The United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has again expressedserious concern over grave humanitarian situation in occupied Kashmir.

A UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric during a regular briefing said thatSecretary-General remains concerned over the grave situation in occupiedKashmir where people are languishing under a tight lockdown.

The UN chief also urged Pakistan and India to hold dialogue to resolve thecrisis.

In reply to a question, the spokesman said that the Secretary-General’sposition on Kashmir has not changed.

He said the UN Secretary General has underscored the need for addressinghuman rights of the Kashmiri people in order to resolve the crisis.
