ISLAMABAD – Chairman NAB (Retired) Justice Javed Iqbal says NAB will nottake any step that creates hurdles in economic progress.
Addressing Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry inLahore on Thursday, he said that cases regarding taxes will be handed overto Federal Board of revenue.
He said money laundering is a crime and Supreme Court has handed over moneylaundering cases to the NAB.
He said that NAB is performing its duty within his jurisdiction. He saidthat plea bargain cannot be finalized without his approval.
He said that NAB will not provide relief to those housing societies whoembezzled billion of rupees of orphan, widows and pensioners.
