In a goodwill gesture Pakistan hands back body of BSF Officer to India

ISLAMABAD – In a goodwill gesture Pakistan hands back body of BorderSecurity Force Officer to India who had drowned in the Nullah and his bodywas carried into Pakistan.

As per media report, Pakistan handed over body of the Indian BorderSecurity Force (BSF) officer to Indian authorities along the WorkingBoundary, the military said on Tuesday.

“Indian BSF soldier Sub-Inspector Paritosh Mondal had drowned whilecrossing Aik Nullah along Working Boundary inside Indian Occupied Jammu andKashmir and his body was reported to have swept towards Pakistan side,”said a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The security force had requested Pakistan Rangers to search the body.“Pakistan Rangers Punjab undertook a search operation, recovered the bodyand handed over to Indian BSF today as per military procedure,” themilitary’s media wing said.
