PEAHAWAR – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise and Taxation and NarcoticsDepartment has achieved highest ever revenue target of one-hundred andthree percent during last fiscal year.
Addressing a news conference in Peshawar on Tuesday afternoon, ProvincialInformation Minister Shaukat Yousafzai said the department has collectedrevenue of three point five billion rupees.
He said narcotics worth one point eight billion rupees were also seizedbesides arresting of more than one-hundred and fifty smugglers.
The Minister said the government is launching new initiatives includingintroduction of smart card and GIS- Based digitization of property tax tofacilitate people.
Answering a question, Information Minister clarified the cost of BRTproject has not increased from twenty-nine billion rupees.
To another question, Shaukat Yousafzai said those doctors who are not readyto serve public, should resign.
