ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has appointed Ambassador Munir Akramas Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations in New Yorkreplacing Dr. Maleeha Lodhi.
According to the Foreign Office Spokesperson, Additional Secretary ofMinistry Muhammad Aejaz has been appointed as Ambassador of Pakistan toHungary, Syed Sajjad Haider, presently serving as Charge d’ Affaires ofPakistan to Pyongyang has been posted as Ambassador of Pakistan to Kuwait.
Khalil Ahmad Hashmi, presently serving as Director General at MoFA has beenappointed as Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN in Geneva whileImran Ahmad Siddiqui, who is presently serving as Consul General ofPakistan Toronto will be High Commissioner of Pakistan for Dhaka,Bangladesh.
Ahsan K.K. Wagan, presently serving as Charge d’ Affaires in Niamey, Nigerwill be Ambassador of Pakistan to Muscat, Oman, Major General retiredMuhammad Saad Khattak has been appointed as the High Commissioner ofPakistan to Sri Lanka and Abdul Hamid has been appointed as Pakistan’sConsul General in Toronto and Abrar Hussain Hashmi has been appointed asPakistan’s Consul General in Houston.
