ISLAMABAD – Legendry Australian all-rounder Shane Watson amazing statementabout Pakistan Super League.
Australian all-rounder, Shane Watson is eager to once again play thePakistan Super League (PSL) in 2020. This time around, the league willentirely be played in Pakistan, unlike the previous versions.
The 38-year-old traveled to Pakistan earlier this year to feature in thegrand final for Quetta Gladiators, as they emerged as champions for thefirst time.
In an interview with a local website, Watson termed the PSL 2019 final inKarachi as one of the highlights of his career. It was one of thehighlights of my career to be playing in Karachi and be involved in winningthe title for Quetta Gladiators.
He also called Pakistan one of the safest places in the world with topsecurity around while reflecting on his previous visit to the country.
When asked whether he was ready to visit Pakistan for the full length ofthe tournament this time around, Watson replied:Absolutely, yeah, I had anawesome time in Karachi last time.
In response to a question regarding the quality of cricket in PSL, Watsoncalled it a challenging tournament, especially due to the world-class fastbowlers.
He also praised Sarfaraz Ahmed’s captaincy, saying that he’s fortunate tohave him around in Quetta Gladiators setup.
