ISLAMABAD – Leader of the House Shibli Faraz has said there is no bar onissuance of ordinances in the constitution as the government promulgateslaws in public interest.
Winding up discussion regarding promulgation of various ordinances,especially the decision to dissolve PMDC, he said the government has takenthis step to regulate the medical profession in accordance with theinternational standard.
Shibli Faraz said the opposition should cooperate in reforming varioussectors pertaining to public welfare. He mentioned that previousgovernments of the PPP and the PML-N had promulgated 104 and 46 ordinancesrespectively during their tenure. He said PTI government believes inserving the masses and reforming various sectors the people of Pakistan.
Regarding price hike, he said the government is taking measures to improvesupply of the essential items to facilitate people.
The House has now been prorogued.
