LAHORE – PML N takes important decision over issue of Nawaz Sharif nameremoval from the ECL, Media Report has revealed.
As the deadlock between the government and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz(PML-N) persists over conditionalities for the removal of former premierNawaz Sharif’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL), the PML-N has decidedto take the matter to a court, sources familiar with the matter told themedia on Thursday.
Moreover, PML-N’s legal team has been preparing an application to file in acourt. The party, in its meeting today, will formulate its next course ofaction on political and legal fronts.
PML-N President and Leader of the Opposition Shehbaz Sharif will convene animportant meeting of the senior leadership of the party today (Thursday),and subsequently will address a press conference at 3pm.
Yesterday, the party expressed resentment over the federal cabinetsubcommittee’s decision that allowed Sharif to go abroad for four weeksonly for his medical treatment by submitting surety bonds to the government.
The party stated that how could someone guarantee that Sharif’s healthwould recover within four weeks. Terming the subcommittee’s indemnity bondcondition as unlawful, the PML-N said that the surety bonds have alreadybeen deposited in the courts.
“Decision of the cabinet’s subcommittee is beyond comprehension,” theparty said.
