ISLAMABAD – In a big achievement for PTI, KP government Act nominated forthe Best Act at Paris Peace Forum.
The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has set another precedent forother provinces, this time in legislation.
In its previous tenure, the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) led KP assemblyhad passed a bill called ‘Right to Information Act.’ The law allowscitizens to obtain information from any government department and publicdepartments are required to provide the requested information.
The act was commended globally as it promotes transparency in governmentaffairs and discourages corruption. In recognition of its effectiveness,the act has now been nominated for the Best Act at Paris Peace Forum.
