The incident, however, ignited the ongoing disputebetween players and the Pakistan Cricket Board.
A PCB source said, “These three players informed their teams in domesticfirst-class cricket after the national T20 championship that they couldn’tplay any longer in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy as they were going to play fortheir Pakistan Super League franchise, Lahore Qalanders.”
He also said the aforementioned cricketers are planning to fly to AbuDhabi with an attempt to play for the Lahore Qalanders in the T10 league.“Basically all three told their coaches that they were not interested inred ball cricket and were white ball specialists and left their teams,” thesource said.
The PCB source also made it clear that the players couldn’t play in the T10league without the NOC from the PCB because the event is organised by theinternational cricket Council (ICC).
“The T10 league is a event recognized by the ICC so players have to showNOCs of their home boards to play in the event,” he said.
In October this year, Pakistan Cricket Board officially cancelled to issueNo Objection Certificates (NOCs) to its players to take part in the T10League which starts from November 15 onwards.
