Pakistan celebrates the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with full religious zeal

ISLAMABAD – Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH) will be celebrated with greatreligious zeal and fervor across the country tomorrow (Nov 10).

The day will dawn with thirty-one guns salute at the Federal capital andtwenty one guns salute at all provincial capitals.

Special prayers for the unity of Muslim Ummah and progress and prosperityof the country will be offered in mosques after Fajr prayer. Specialconferences, events and Mahaafil-e-Milaad are being arranged to pay respectto the last messenger whose life and teachings are beacon of light for thewhole mankind.

In connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), an InternationalRehmatul-lil-Alameen (PBUH) Conference will be held in Islamabad tomorrowunder the auspices of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-FaithHarmony. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘State of Madina andconcept of modern Islamic Welfare State – in the light of teachings of HolyProphet (PBUH).’

Eid Milad un Nabi is observed to commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet(PBUH). It is celebrated in the third Islamic month Rabi’ al-awwal.

Seerat conferences are organized at both federal and provincial levelswhere religious scholars and intellectuals come and shed light on theProphet Muhammed’s life, sayings, teachings and philosophies.

Electric lights are twinkled across the cities, special arrangements aredone in the mosques, and people distribute sweets and gifts among theirfamily and friends.
