ISLAMABAD – The government has prepared a comprehensive program valuing 538billion rupees to deal with the issue of malnutrition and stunted growth.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Health Services, Dr ZafarMirza made the remarks while chairing a meeting in Islamabad on Friday.
He asked the provinces to give their recommendations by 15th of this monthto give final shape to the nutrition programme.
He said approval of PC-1 for the program will be sought from CentralDevelopment Working Party by 30th of this month so that it could belaunched from early next year.
Dr Zafar Mirza said children are the future of Pakistan and withoutspending on their health, the national development targets cannot beachieved.
