Surprise revelation: PM Imran Khan ordered sacking of Pakistan Cricket team Captain Sarfraz Ahmed?

ISLAMABAD – In a surprising revelation it has emerged that Prime MinisterImran Khan is the man behind Sarfaraz Ahmed’s sacking as the captain of thePakistan cricket team.

According to the reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had SarfarazAhmed in its plans till the T20I World Cup in 2020, however, the decisionto remove him was made following direct orders from Imran Khan.

Things are slightly heating up between the government and the cricket boardas the PCB has reportedly put the blame on Imran Khan for denying NOCs toplayers for the T10 league.

Media outlets are reporting that Imran Khan was behind this decision aswell, owing to the fact that Indian owners are involved in the league.

On the other hand, the International Cricket Council (ICC) is also likelyto investigate the matter of political interference in the PCB. This mightland the cricket board in trouble as earlier the Zimbabwe Cricket Board wasbanned due to political interference.

Experts have negated such reports considering how the PCB had selected theteam management and blamed Sarfaraz over the T20I series loss against SriLanka.

Most senior players are of the opinion that PM Imran neither has the timenor does he take incomplete steps such as these. Had the former captaintaken a decision he would have chosen the captain himself instead ofrelying on multiple captains for different formats.
