ISLAMABAD -PM Imran Khan fulfils yet another promise made with the Nation.
With the nation currently in a state of disarray both politically andeconomically, the need for productive developments has been dire. As ithappens, good news has arrived in the form of an announcement made by thenation’s prime minister yesterday;
Imran Khan has officially launched the ‘largest ever needs-basedundergraduate scholarship program in the history of Pakistan’ under theumbrella of the Ehsaas program.
Developed with the underlying goal of steadily improving educationalopportunities for aspiring undergraduate students and consequentlyenhancing the state of education in the nation, this immense scholarshipprogram is very promising indeed.
With a grand total of 200,000 scholarships to be issued over the next fouryears, half of which will be for women, the program will go a long way ingiving a boost to the disadvantaged sections of our population.
I will launch the largest ever needs-based undergraduate scholarshipprogramme in the history of Pakistan today. 200,000 scholarships will beawarded over the next 4 years, 50,000 every year, 50% of these for women topromote human capital development under my @Ehsaas_Pklink umbrella

As per the program, 50,000 scholarships will be awarded to deserving andneedy students per year over the course of the next four years. Thescholarships will be issued by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) andwill be applicable for both public and participating private universitiesand colleges. They will not only cover tuition fees but will also providestipends to high-achievers from financially disadvantaged families.
In order to qualify for these scholarships, the students must belong toeither public sector universities or non-profit private institutions.Students admitted to any public sector university on the basis of merit aswell as those belonging to families with overall income below the povertythreshold are also eligible.
The deadline for applying for the scholarship program is 10th December2019. In order to apply for it, one must visit the *online portal for **Ehsaas** scholarship*link and submit thecompleted forms at his or her university’s Financial Aid Office.
