ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has completely rejected baseless reports in a sectionof the Indian media, attributed to “intelligence sources”, insinuatingpresence of alleged “training camps” in Narowal near the Gurdwara DarbarSahib Kartarpur.In a statement today, Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal saidPakistan’s Kartarpur Spirit is aimed at facilitating Nanak Naamlevas,especially Sikhs, to visit one of their most revered places of worship andpromoting inter-faith harmony.He said the content of the media reports in question is part of a maliciouspropaganda campaign in India that cannot be condemned enough.He said unfounded allegations about Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur beingused for any purpose other than worship are a deliberate attempt tomisrepresent Pakistan’s goodwill gesture, undermine the Corridorinitiative, and hurt the religious sentiments of Sikhs all over the world.He said we reject such mischievous attempts with the contempt that theydeserve.
