ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Navy commissioned on Monday survey ship ‘Behr Masah’in its naval fleet, enhancing the naval research and sailing capabilitiesof the Pakistan Navy.
Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi was the guest of honour for the commissioningof new survey ship ‘Behr Masah’ in an event held in Karachi.
The latest survey ship that was built by China’s Dajin Shipyard would playan important role in the fulfillment of the operational requirements of thePakistan Navy and the development of the maritime sector.
As per the Navy spokesperson, the research ship is equipped with modernsurvey equipment that will play an important role in the search of naturalreserves in the maritime territories of the country.
Admiral Abbasi lauded and congratulated the crew of the Dajin Shipyard andall involved in the project for the timely completion and quality work onthe project, saying that cooperation in the civil and defence sectors was areflection of the excellent relations between Pakistan and China.
Pakistan would be able to provide assistance to its allied countries in thefield in hydrography, he informed.
