ISLAMABAD – The second and final round of dialogue between Pakistan andIMF will begin today.
According to details, data will be exchanged for technical-level talksbetween both parties.
Prime Minister’s advisor on Finance Abdul Hafeez Sheikh will lead thesecond and final phase of the talks from Pakistan’s side.
The Pakistani team will include Secretary Finance, Governor State Bank andChairman FBR, while for the policy level talks IMF delegation will lead themission.
Pakistan will brief IMF over the progress in privatization program whilerequesting to reduce taxation targets due to reduction in imports.
The negotiations will also discuss the goals for October to December and incase of successful negotiation, loan installment will be issued to Pakistan.
