ISLAMABAD – The protest march and sit-in of JUI-F in the federal capitalhave greatly disturbed the life of residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, creating an environment of fear and harassment among the people.
Residents of the twin cities are unable to easily reach their offices andstudents cannot attend their classes regularly.
The protestors are causing environmental hazards in the federal capital andalso damaging infrastructure.
The protest has sent across a negative message of political instability inthe country, which the enemies of Pakistan, particularly the Indian mediaare playing up.
It is regrettable that the protest organizers are using juvenile seminarystudents for their vested political interests. There are also reports thatthe marchers are intercepting public vehicles and asking them to donatefunds in the name of protest march and Jihad. A female reporter was deniedentry into the venue to perform her professional duty of covering theevent, which has negatively portrayed Pakistan abroad.
It is worth mentioning that the government has not created any hurdle inthe way of JUI-F march. However, it has made it clear not to allow anyoneto challenge writ of the state.
