ISLAMABAD – Thr number of participants of JUI-F, Ansarul Islam, civilsociety, other political parties Azadi March participants was unveiled bypolice and agencies.
About 28,000 to 30,000 people in more than 1,200 vehicles passed throughthe limits of Rawalpindi police
The police also sought the names of individuals and their politicalaffiliations who had arranged receptions for the participants or for theleaders of the opposition parties.
Details of political rallies joining the main rally passing through thelimits of Rawalpindi district police were also sought. The police wereworried over JUI-F’s plan to pass the main procession through Murree Road.However, the procession took Islamabad Expressway to reach the venue of thegathering in Islamabad.

The police estimated that 28,000 to 30,000 people in more than 1,200vehicles, including trucks, cars, jeeps and motorcycles, passed through thelimits of Rawalpindi police via Gujar Khan, Mandra and Rawat.
Details of small convoys that emerged from different parts of the districtwere also gathered and sent to the authorities concerned. The police haddeployed 4,000 personnel and three companies of Rangers to meet anyemergency situation.
