Bomb blast in Afghanistan kills atleast 15 Taliban fighters

JAWZJAN: An explosion in northern Jawzjan province killed or wounded atleast 31 people including many Taliban militants and ordinary civilians.

The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said the incident took place ataround 3:00 pm on Wednesday in BazarakJangalAregh Village of Mardiandistrict.

The statement further added that the Taliban militants were transportingroadside bombs and explosive materials and were their way from ChaharBolakdistrict of Balkh province to Mardian district.

However, the explosives went off prematurely killing 15 Taliban militantsand 2 civilians, the 209th Shaheen Corps added.
