ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on National Health ServicesDr. Zafar Mirza has announced office bearers of newly constituted PakistanMedical Commission.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad this evening, he said Dr. ArshadTaqi will be the President and Ali Raza the Vice President of the new body.
He said Dr Nasir Mohyeddin has been temporarily elected as SecretaryGeneral of the commission for three months. He said later on permanent seatof Secretary General will be announced.
The Special Assistant said three committees have also been constitutedincluding Legal and Regulatory Committee, Finance Committee and HumanResource Committee.
He said the major task of the Government is to constitute National MedicalCommission Authority which is going to be announced soon.
The Special Assistant said employees of PMDC will be given salaries ofcurrent month and six more months.
He said grade 1 to 4 employees of PMDC will be given priority for any otherjob in the government sector. He hoped the newly constituted commissionwill work hard to restore confidence of public in health sector
