Former Pakistani Skipper Mohammad Hafeez shocked and surprised

ISLAMABAD – Former Pakistani Skipper Mohammad Hafeez is shocked andsurprised over the Pakistan Cricket Board decision.

Former Pakistan cricket team captain Mohammad Hafeez has expressed hisdisappointment for being excluded from T20I and ODI squads.

Hafeez and Malik have both been axed from the limited-over squads asPakistan Cricket Board (PCB) looks to groom future stars at the expense of‘aged players’.

Speaking about his exclusion, Hafeez claimed that he’s disappointed as wellas shocked since his performances have been up to the mark.

My entire career I have been in an and out of the side. It obviously comesas a shock when you are not selected despite performing and being ofinternational standard.

He further added that challenges are a part of life and ones’ cricketingcareer, which is why he will not be disheartened.

Challenges are part of life but I am positive as always. I am neverdisappointed. I believe that I can keep on playing white-ball cricket forPakistan.

When asked about his retirement plans, Hafeez said he is not ready to quitjust yet as he believes he still has a couple of years in him.

I will always be available whenever I am deemed good enough and recalled tothe side. I hope that Pakistan perform well against Australia, and whateverkids have been picked make the country proud.

In the last year, Mohammad Hafeez has remained a consistent performer forPakistan. However, the issue with his bowling action is one reason why hisselection is questioned. He averages over 35.50 in last 12 months.
