ISLAMABAD – World Bank has launched its report on ease of doing businessshowing Pakistan improving by twenty-eight places.
The launching ceremony held in Islamabad today showed Pakistan clinching108th position against the previous 136th position.
Speaking on the occasion, Adviser on Commerce Razak Dawood said the rankingis very important to attract foreign investment in the country. He saidmore strides will be made to further improve the country’s ranking.
Razak Dawood said Pakistan wants investment in all the provinces includingKhyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. He said Pakistan is open for the globalbusiness. He said the government is striving to fully facilitate theinvestors.
He said the Ministries of Petroleum and Power have given their lists ofprocedures that should be cut off to ensure ease of doing business inPakistan.
In his remarks on the occasion, Chairman Board of Investment Zubair Gilanisaid economy is improving due to the difficult decisions taken by thegovernment.
