ISLAMABAD – The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the date offiling income tax returns/statements for the tax year 2019 till December31, 2019.
A circular was issued on Monday in this regard, which said that thetaxpayers will be allowed to file their returns by the end of this year.Previously, the last date of filing was December 16, which expires today.——————————

This is the sixth extension since the revenue watchdog first announced June30 as the filing deadline. Inside sources said that a shortfall in therevenue collection prompted another 15-day extension.
As per reports, the revenue board has so far received over 1.9 millionreturns as compared to 2.7 million for the previous year.
