Indian cricketer lands in big trouble, may be arrested by Police

ISLAMABAD – Indian cricketer lands in big trouble, may be arrested byPolice for thrashing his neighbour and his son.

Former Indian cricketer Praveen neighbor Deepak Sharma claimed that thecricketer allegedly beat him and his seven-year-old son in a drunken state.

While explaining the incident to an Indian Television channel Aaj Tak,Deepak said that the police authorities have refused to register acomplaint against Praveen since he is a high-profile cricketer.

“I was waiting for my son at the bus stop at 3:00 pm. Kumar arrived at thespot, came out of his car and abused the bus driver first and later abusedme,” said Deepak. “He was in an inebriated condition. Later, he thrashed meand fractured my hand. Kumar also pushed my son who has suffered injury inhis back. Now the police are forcing me to compromise.”

“Moreover, I have started receiving death threats,” he added.

However, Superintendent of Police (SP) Akhilesh Narayan Singh has said thatthey are investigating the incident and will take due action based on theirfindings.

“Both of them are neighbours and they have informed the police about theincident. We are investigating the matter based on their statements.Further action will be taken accordingly. The medical process has also beendone.”
