LAHORE – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi rejected claims of mistrustbetween Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, and said that it is not Pakistan’sagenda to weaken or split the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Speaking exclusively in Dunya News’ program *Ikhtalafi Note*, he expressedthat Pakistan maintains friendly relations with all Muslim countriesincluding Turkey and Malaysia. He added that even Saudi Crown PrinceMohammed bin Salman had a successful visit to Pakistan.
He further mentioned that some Muslim countries are at odds with eachother, and certain factions do not want Pakistan and other countries tohave prosperous relations.
“Pakistan aims to play an important role in reuniting Muslim ummah,” hesaid, adding that Pakistan also intends to resolve various issues includingKSA-Iran tension and Qatar blockade.
FM Qureshi expressed that Pakistan is a founding member of OIC and it wasnever intention of Pakistan to weaken the organization.
