ISLAMABAD -Pakistan Foreign Exchange reserves to get yet another bigbooster worth $453 billion.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will hold its next board meeting inWashington on December 19 for approval of the disbursement of secondtranche of about $453 million to Pakistan under the $6 billion ExtendedFund Facility (EFF) finalised in May this year.
According to the IMF’s website, the board will review Pakistan’s economicgrowth.After Pakistan and the staff mission of the International Monetary Fund hadheld policy level talks for disbursement of the second tranche of theamount from October 28 to November 8.
The mission had given a positive review about Pakistan’s economicperformance.
The IMF had held meetings with Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) ChairmanShabbar Zaidi and Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance Abdul HafeezSheikh.
