ISLAMABAD – Over the much rumoured news of Telenor services discontinuationin Pakistan, PTA responds over the media reports circulating in Pakistanipress.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has refuted the rumourscirculating on social media regarding discontinuation of Telenor servicesin Pakistan.
“Any such news or advertisement is fake. It is once again reiterated thatall cellular mobile operators, including Telenor, will continue to provideservices to its consumers as usual,” PTA said in a statement on Wednesday.“PTA has referred the matter to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) forfurther investigations and to initiate criminal proceedings against thosespreading fake news involving PTA.”
