ISLAMABAD – The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution urging Russiato withdraw its military forces from Crimea and end its temporaryoccupation of Ukraine’s territory.
In the 193-Member Assembly, 63 countries voted in favour while 19 votedagainst. Sixty-six abstained. Forty-five countries did not vote.
The resolution expressed grave concern over the progressive militarizationof Crimea by the Russia as the occupying power.

The resolution also expressed concern at Russia’s actions in parts of theBlack Sea surrounding Crimea and in the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait.
