ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) suspended its senior leaderand lawyer Hamid Khan’s membership on Sunday and sent a show-cause noticeto the lawyer for issuing statements against the party’s policy.
According to the show cause notice, Hamid Khan accused of “violating partydiscipline and party constitution”. It said that Khan made “fake”, “false”and frivolous allegations against the party through media.
Hamid Khan has been told to explain his position in writing within sevendays. “In the meanwhile, till the final decision of your instant inquiry,your basic membership of party shall remain suspended with immediateeffect,” the notice said.
It is pertinent to mention here that the show-cause notice was sent toHamid on the directive of Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is also the PTI’schairman. The notice was issued to Hamid by the PTI’s Central SecretaryGeneral Aamir Kiani.
