ISLAMABAD – PTI government approved new power policy in the country toproduce cheap electricity.
Secretary Power Division Irfan Ali has said the development of alternativeand renewable energy based power projects is amongst the top priorities ofthe Government.
Addressing a workshop in Islamabad, he said this is evident from the factthat a new policy has been formulated that targets a share of twentypercent of the installed capacity through renewable sources by 2025 andthirty percent by 2030.

He said that policy has recently been approved by the federal cabinet andnow awaits approval of the Council of Common Interests.
