BEIJING – Amid US criticism, China vows to further enhance economiccooperation with Pakistan.
China has reiterated its commitment to the principles of consultation andcooperation with Pakistan for shared benefits.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Geng Shuang during a regular press briefingin Beijing said China puts Pakistani people’s interests first.
He said major progress has been achieved on CPEC projects during the lastfive years with early harvests reaped in at least 22 projects.

The spokesperson said CPEC projects have significantly improved localtransportation infrastructure and power supply, created tens of thousandsof jobs for Pakistanis and contributed one to two percent of economicgrowth in Pakistan.
