ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has said that the recentstatement by India’s consul-general to New York City Sandeep Chakravortyshows the fascist mindset of the Indian government’s Rashtriya SwayamsevakSangh (RSS) ideology.
Speaking at an event in NYC, Chakravorty said India will build settlementsmodelled after Israel for the return of the Hindu population toIndian-occupied Kashmir,* Middle East Eye* reported. “I don’t know why wedon’t follow it. It has happened in the Middle East. If the Israeli peoplecan do it, we can also do it,” Chakravorty said.
Following the consul-general’s remarks, the PM took to his Twitter handleon Wednesday and condemned the statement, saying that this shows thefascist mindset of the Indian government’s RSS ideology that has continuedthe siege of IOK for over 100 days.
He further said that India has subjected the Kashmiris to the worstviolation of their human rights while the powerful countries remain silent‘because of their trading interests’.
