ISLAMABAD – Doctors examining former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Londonhave revealed that a vessel that carries blood to the brain is 80% blocked.
The report said Nawaz was undergoing several medical tests, since hisarrival in London earlier this week. Quoting family sources, it said that aSwiss doctor had also examined the former prime minister at his residence.
Meanwhile, Nawaz’s personal physician Dr Adnan Khan tweeted on Saturdaythat Dr David Lawrence, cardiothoracic Surgeon at University CollegeHospital examined the former premier, who had been “given a roadmap forcardiac investigations & subsequent treatment”.
Dr Lawrence performed the CABG (heart bypass surgery) on Nawaz in May 2016and had clinically looked after ever since, the doctor said.
“Dr Lawrence in sync with haematologists at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital,will manage” Nawaz, he added.
