LARKANA – New progress reported in the Nimrita Kumari suspicious murdercase, media report has revealed.
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Saturdayreleased the identification report of fingerprints in Dr Nimrita Chandanimurder case.
According to the details garnered, the NADRA sent back all elevenfingerprints submitted by the police in the Dr Nimrita Chandani murder caseby saying that no identification can be made using these prints.
In its report, the NADRA said that the fingerprints and a letter requestingthem to be examined was sent a month after Nimrita died. They said thefingerprints aren’t clear enough to identify anyone using.
The police had arrested two class fellows of Nimrita in connection with hermurder.
These prints were found at the crime scene. Nimrita, a 25-year-old dentalstudent at the SMBB Medical University, was found dead in her dorm onSeptember 16.
A post-mortem report said she died of asphyxiation. The first reportclaimed there were no marks on her body but after her family requestedanother post-mortem, the second report confirmed that male DNA was found onthe deceased.
It says the forensic and molecular biology lab reports detected “male DNAprofile obtained from semen stains/sperm fractions from HVS and clothesindicates sexual act with deceased.”
