ANF and ASF foil heroine smuggling attempt worth Rs 10 crore at the Lahore Airport

ISLAMABAD – Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and Airport Security Force (ASF)foil heroine smuggling attempt worth Rs 10 crore at the Lahore Airport.

ANF and ASF have foiled a sneaky attempt to smuggle a large amount ofheroin out of Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.

The airport staff of the Allama Iqbal International Airport alerted the ANFand ASF authorities when they found something unusual in empty steelcontainers.

During a joint operation, ANF and ASF personnel impounded three packets ofheroin wrapped in aluminum foil. The wrapped packets were skillfullyconcealed in an empty steal container.

The confiscated heroin weighs around 3.5 KGs. The total worth of the seizednarcotics is estimated to be around Rs. 100 million.

ANF and ASF authorities have launched a joint investigation to ascertainhow the heroin made its way into the airport’s premises. No one has beenarrested thus far.
