ISLAMABAD – The opening ceremony of the fifth edition of the Habib BankLimited (HBL) Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be incurring a cost ofaround PKR 210 million (Rs 21 crore).
Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United, who will play the first match ofthe tournament, are the only teams guaranteed to be at the event. However,Peshawar Zalmi officials have stated that their team will also be presentat the National Stadium in Karachi for the opening event.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials, the teams that arescheduled to compete the following day will not be able to take part in theopening festivities.
The colorful and extravagant HBL PSL 5 opening ceremony is scheduled to beheld at the National Stadium in Karachi on Thursday. Popular local singersRahat Fateh Ali Khan, Abrarul Haq, Sajad Ali, Sanam Maarwi, Aima Baig, AbuMohammad, Fareed Ayaz and Soch band are expected to perform at the event.
