KARACHI: Karachi Port Trust responds over media reports of gas or chemicalleakage inside KPT Port area.
The Karachi Port Trust has denied any leakage of chemicals or gases insidethe KPT port area and from any berthed vessel or ship.
The Trust claimed that all safety precautions remain applied while handlingPOL or chemicals from ships at the Karachi Port. Speaking to the media, anofficial of the KPT said that the patients being admitted to hospitals arefrom the northern side of Keamari Town and not from the port or immediatearea.
The KPT is offering complete support to the Keamari residents fallingvictim to chemical gas, the official said. KPT Hospital located in Keamariarea has been made accessible to Keamari residents for treatment.
