Princess Lamia Bint Majed Al Saud appointed as Goodwill Ambassador for Arab States

ISLAMABAD – HRH Princess Lamia Bint Majed Al Saud appointed as first everUN-Habitat Regional Goodwill Ambassador for Arab States.

Princess Lamia Bint Majed Al Saud, appointed as the first ever RegionalGoodwill Ambassador for the Arab States by the United Nations HumanSettlements Program (UN-Habitat) during a press conference at the 10thsession of the World Urban Forum.

In her role as Secretary General at Alwaleed Philanthropies, Princess Lamialeads an all-female team that is combatting inequalities.

She also provides opportunities for those in need in the Middle East andaround the world.

In addition to investing in programs and initiatives that buildcross-cultural understanding, develop communities, empower women and youngpeople.

Alwaleed Philanthropies has established partnerships with globalorganizations in humanitarian issues, healthcare, development and civilsociety.

Princess Lamia commented on receiving the award, “I am extremely humbled tobe appointed as the first ever Regional Goodwill Ambassador for the Arabworld on behalf of UN-Habitat.

I very much hope that this appointment serves as inspiration for youngpeople across the Arab region that there is no limitation on theiraspirations.”
