COAS General Qamar Bajwa attends the platinum jubilee Reunion of 1st PMA Long Course in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI – The Platinum Jubilee Reunion of 1st PMA Long Course was heldin Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa graced the occasion aschief guest. Paying rich tribute to the veterans of Ist PMA Long Course fortheir great contributions, the COAS said that they provided pioneerleadership to the Pakistan Army.

He said: “Pakistan Army has established Army Institute of Military History(AIMH), where we are working to preserve our military history and veterans’experiences which should be useful to younger generation of officers.”

The Platinum Jubilee Reunion was attended by surviving members of 1st PMALong Course and families. The officers of 1st PMA Long Course joined PMA inJan 1948 and 62 officers were commissioned on Feb 4, 1950, including MajorAziz Bhatti Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider.
