LAHORE: With an aim to provide cars on cheap rates, the Regal AutomobilesIndustries Limited has launched its much-awaited 800cc hatchback, PrincePearl, in an impressive ceremony held in the provincial capital on Friday.
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar graced the occasion along withother high-profile dignitaries and auto sector representatives. The car,which would hit the market from February 1st (tomorrow), would be in sixdifferent colours and at 16 3S dealerships across Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, the Punjab governor remarked, “It is hearteningto see a local company taking the initiative to provide such awell-equipped and affordable automobile to the masses.”
Talking to this scribe, Regal Automobiles Operations Director Tayyab Naseersaid, “We have manufactured almost 400 to 500 units of Prince Pearl. Owingto the tough competition we face in the market, we are also strikingagreements with the corporate sector to promote and sell our products. Wewant to break the monopoly of the already available and costly brands inPakistan.”
He said the company was offering a complete range of light, commercial,passenger and SUV range with complete after-sale services and technicalsupport to the customers. “The company has invested Rs1.5 billion in thisproject to create jobs and ensure industrial and economic stability inPakistan.”

He informed that the company was providing EFI engine which produces 40HPand is equipped with modern features such as power windows, power steering,multimedia system and a warranty of three years or 60,000kms, whichevercomes first.
Pearl Prince has been priced at Rs1,049,000.
