ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and Spain have acknowledged the need to enhancedefence cooperation between the two countries.
The understanding came during a meeting between Defense Minister PervezKhattak and Ambassador of Spain Manuel Duran Gimenez-Rico in Islamabad onFriday.
Pervez Khattak said collaboration to address global challenges, such asterrorism, extremism, illegal immigration and drug trafficking is animportant part of our bilateral relations with Spain.
The two sides acknowledged the need to enhance defence cooperation betweenthe two countries.

The Defense Minister also mentioned that a memorandum of Understanding onDefence Cooperation between Pakistan and Spain is at advance stage.
