KARACHI: Pakistani Judge accused of sexually assaulting girl in courtevades police investigations.
Pakistani civil court Judge in Sehwan, accused of sexually assaulting agirl, has not appeared before a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of SindhPolice probing the incident, reportedlink *The News*.
The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) was constituted by the provincial policeon the orders of the Sindh High Court on January 26, and is headed byDeputy Superintendent of Police Ali Shair Khaskheli.
However, on Wednesday, the accused approached the Deputy Inspector Generalof Police in Hyderabad with a request to transfer the investigation intothe case to another district.
The DIG, Naeem Sheikh, confirmed to *The News* on Wednesday that he hadreceived the application requesting for the transfer of the investigation,but expressed the inability to transfer the case on his own.
“A three-member panel comprising SSP Jamshoro Amjad Shiekh, SSP HyderabadAdeel Chandio and SP Complaint Cell Hyderabad was constituted to look intothe case and submit their report,” he said.
Earlier on Monday, the police brought the victim and her associate to theForensic Laboratory of Liaqat University of Medical Sciences (LUMS) for DNAtests, where their samples were obtained for the investigation.
