Opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif files a case in London High Court

London: Opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif files a case in London HighCourt.PresidentPakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif has filed a caseagainst Daily Mail and reporter David Rose for publishing a fabricatedstory that that he alleged sought to damage his reputation.

While addressing a press conference along with his lawyers in London, hesaid that false allegations were levied against him in David Rose’s article.

His lawyer confirmed that the defamation claim has been issued at theLondon High Court’s against defendants Daily Mail and David Rose.

Shehbaz said that the story in Daily Mail was published on the instructionsof Imran Khan.

“Yesterday, my lawyers filed a case against Daily Mail. This fabricatedstory was printed, or forced into print, was a part of the characterassassination that Imran Niazi and his cohorts are engaged in day andnight, against the opposition, especially PML-N, in the name ofaccountability. The whole idea was to paint PMLN in a bad light,” he said.

Criticizing the PTI led government, he said that they failed to deliver inevery aspect.
