IG Sindh Kalim Imam breaks silence over the reports of his transfer out of province

Karachi: IG Sindh Kalim Imam breaks silence over the reports of histransfer out of province.After Sindh government was given a green lightsignal on Sunday for transferring Inspector General Police (IG) SindhKaleem Imam has categorically said, ‘I am not going anywhere”.

While addressing a ceremony in Karachi today, he said that It was not goingto be easy to send him away. This ceremony is being turned into my farewell.

“A conspiracy is being hatched against me but I am not going anywhere. Wework according to our oath and we were following all rules andregulations,” he said.

His comments have come following the meeting of Prime Minister Imran Khanand Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah on Monday where they agreed tochange police chief of Sindh.

Sindh Government had proposed the names of Ghulam Qadir Thebo, KamranAfzal, Mushtaq Mahar Sanaullah Abbasi and Inaam Ghani as police chief.

The provincial authorities had also written a letter to the establishmentdivision asking for the removal of Imam and the appointment of anotherpolice officer in his place.

Earlier, federal government had opposed the transfer of Kaleem Imam but onJanuary 27, it gave a green signal to provincial government to change theIG.
