ISLAMABAD – Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Azam Khan Swati has saidthat peace in Pakistan is linked with peace in Afghanistan and that is corepolicy of PTI’s government.
Speaking on a motion in Senate on Monday, he said Pakistan is making allout efforts to restore peace in Afghanistan.
On Kashmir situation, the Minister said now world community stands withPakistan’s stance in this regard.
He said Modi is targeting the minorities in India and his fascist agendahas been exposed to the world.
Commenting on the evolving situation in Middle East, he said Pakistan willnot allow its soil to be used against any country.
He said Pakistan is in contact with all stakeholders to ease the tension.
Speaking on a motion regarding development of coastal areas of the country,Minister for Parliamentary Affairs said that a master development plan isin pipeline in this regard.
The Senate today passed five resolutions.
The first resolution recommends that biographies of all the Martyrs whohave been awarded Nishan-e-Haider so far may be included in the curriculumof all the educational institutions in the country.”
The second resolution urged the Federal Government to take necessarymeasures to make all public buildings, hospitals, recreational andeducational facilities accessible for persons with disabilities.
The third resolution recommends that the Government should take immediatesteps for the construction of an Interchange at village Bhong, TehsilSadiqabad, District Rahim Yar Khan at the Multan-Sukkur Motorway.
The fourth resolution urged the Muslims to stay calm and refuse to beintimidated by the hate-mongering Islamophobes, and spread Islam’s messageof peace, tolerance and universal brotherhood.
The fifth resolution paid tribute to the legendary and popular poet LateAhmed Faraz on the eve of his birthday.
The House was later adjourned to meet again tomorrow at 3 p.m.
