Pakistan unveiled first ever indigenous built electric rickshaw

ISLAMABAD– Pakistan unveiled first ever indigenous built electric rickshaw.

Pakistani automotive manufacturer, Sazgar Engineering Works Limited, hasunveiled an electric three-wheeler rickshaw for the first time in thecountry.

The ceremony took place at the Sazgar Car plant, situated at Sunder Roadwhere Advisor to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam wasinvited as the chief guest.

Malik Amin Aslam addressed to the event saying that the world isprogressing towards power sources and Pakistan also have to move towards itas it is the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government.

He lauded Sazgar automotives saying that he is happy that Sazgar carriesthe same vision in the country.

Sazgar Engineering Director Mian Ammar told Dunya News: “The new electricrickshaw is environmental friendly and it is exempted from petrol andmaintenance cost”.

One of the attendants who is a rickshaw driver expressed that the prices of LPGand petrol is soaring with each passing day, and this new rickshaw mayprovide relief to commoners.
