ISLAMABAD – Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi gets a surprise offer to become ChiefMinister of Punjab. Veteran journalist Arif Hameed Bhatti has revealed thatPresident Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif, has offeredthe post of Chief Minister to Speaker Punjab Assembly, Pervez Elahi.

Elaborating on the revelation, the senior analyst said on GNN’s show ‘KhabrHai’ that so far, Pervez Elahi has refused the offer.

Arif Hameed Bhatti also said that PML-N supremo, Nawaz Sharif, had alsoagreed to making this offer to the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q)leader and former Chief Minister. The preconditions for accepting the offerinclude giving the post of Speaker and a few ministries to PML-N.

According to the senior journalist, Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif are outof jail on bail but still have corruption probes pending against them,which is why they made the offer to Pervez Elahi however the latter has yetto accept the deal.
