LAHORE – Skipper Babar Azam reaction after being selected in ICC ODI teamof the year.
After being selected in the ICC ODI Team of the Year for the second time inhis career, Babar Azam thanked the jury for recognizing his achievements,team-mates and fans for their support. The 25-year-old previously found hisplace in the elite list in 2017, said an official press release by the PCB.
*Reacting to the news, Babar Azam said:* “I am thankful to the ICC and itsjury for recognising my achievements with the bat in 2019 and consideringme worthy of a place in the side that includes some of my favouritecricketers who entertained the fans throughout the year with theiroutstanding performances.
“However, I will reserve my biggest gratitude to my team-mates and fans aswithout their support this would not have been possible.
We played and performed as one team, with the fans always behind us despiteour up and down performances.
