Washington: Pakistan FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi reveals positive developmentin US and Afghanistan peace talks. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshihas said that there are positive developments related to US and Afghanistanpeace process.
In a video statement, FM said that Pakistan has only desired for peace andstability in Afghanistan.
“The talks between US and Afghanistan had been continuing for some time. Wehave always wanted peace in the region. Afghan Taliban has expressedwillingness for reduction in violence. We believe that Afghanistan and theregion need peace and stability,” he said.
The foreign minister said that Pakistan has considerably fulfilled itsresponsibility regarding the Afghan peace process.

Earlier, while briefing the Secretary General on the deterioratingsituation in Indian occupied Kashmir, Shah Mehmood said that eight millionKashmiris are under stringent curfew, lockdown and communications blackoutfor over 150 days.
He added that UN has also reported on the gross human rights violations inoccupied Kashmir which includes the excessive use of force, tear gas,rubber bullets and killings.
